Hot-tubbing Anytime

Well, hot-tubbing not so much, but I do like sushi. Since you’re going to scour the web to see if I’m going to be a good fit, I’ll save you some hassle and list the off-the-clock stuff here. See, I’m already increasing your efficiency.

So, You Come Here Often?

The following is based on an article that claims to have the best questions to ask during a speed dating event. I see similarities between speed dating and interviews — a short amount of time to make a good impression, identify compatibilities, will one of us be an embarrassment at family functions, etc. With a little editing, I think these queries may help reveal the possible chemistry between us. Hmm, I wonder what our maybe babies would look like.

What do you do for work?
The short answer would be Senior Web Designer/Art Director. I have over 14 years in the graphic design and web design industry. I have experience at large and small agencies representing global brands with national campaigns down to local mom and pop shops running social media promotions for their rabid fan base. I enjoy leading, learning and making cool stuff.
When was your last relationship job and how long did it last?
The last one was a little over two years. It was a great place, good people and clients. Before that, I usually average about 5 years at a company. Each time I consider a job offer, I ask if I can see myself retiring from there.
Do you want to marry have a job or have you ever been married had a job?
Yes and yes. I’ve been pretty lucky in my career to have had experience at great companies for long periods of time with some wonderful people.
What do you look for in a husband/wife company?
I like to see companies that have good morale and treat their people with respect. When you have a group of people who enjoy their environment, they tend to do better work. Happy people make the day go by smoother.
Where are you from?
I grew up in Anaheim. I love Angels baseball and Ducks hockey. Disneyland is my fav place to play, especially now with my kids.
What is the one thing about yourself that you would like me to know?
I have a good sense of humor but it doesn’t mean I don’t take things seriously.
Which is your favorite book/movie?
Love Star Wars (original trilogy) and most Sci-Fi. Michael Crichton is a fav author. I think the last one I read was Prey — it would make a great movie! The Freakonomics books were a great read, they helped to look at the world in a different way and shed light on how human beings behave.
Which is the last book you read?
The Little Blue Truck. My son (1 year old) loves it.
How do you spend your spare time?
I was able to sell some less-than-necessary internal organs and got our family Disneyland passes. We love to go there. Watching my kids discover a place that I grew up going to makes it new all over again for my wife and I. Besides that, I like staying up way too late playing XBox games with friends.
Which T.V. program would you never miss?
On the sixth day God created Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime. We are currently binge watching Once Upon a Time. We also enjoy Last Man Standing, Raising Hope, the Crazy Ones, and Downton Abbey.
What is the last CD you bought?
Probably one of the various artist Christmas CDs from Target. It’s a weakness. However, I do have a Not Until After Thanksgiving rule for holiday tunes.
Which was the first crush you ever had?
I think it was Orange Crush. Hot summer day at the beach. Very refreshing.
Is sexual compatibility important to you?
Uh. You know, maybe these questions weren’t the best idea. I think we are done.
